Jessica Adams, MOT, OTR/L

Occupational Therapist

As a child one of my favorite things to do was to pretend to be a teacher. Whenever I was with friends we would set up a fake classroom and I would instruct them on how to do things like art or spelling. I had a lot of really great teachers growing up and they made such an impact on my life so I always wanted to be that person for others.

I worked at a hospital for 7 years and I wanted to further my career in healthcare, but it took me some time to find the specific profession that I felt most connected with and passionate about. I worked along side the OT's there and found a lot of enjoyment in the fact that they were teaching people how to better engage in meaningful occupations. I quickly decided that this career was perfect for me and one that I could find a great deal of fulfillment in. In a way I ended up becoming a teacher in a less conventional sense which is something I always wanted to do.

In my spare time I have quite a few hobbies that take up my time. I love lots of different things like drawing/painting, dancing, going to concerts, hiking, camping, backpacking, snowboarding, paddle boarding, reading and traveling.
