  • Derek Bawden, MOT, OTR/L

Occupational Therapist / Chief Executive Officer

As a child, Derek wanted to grow up to be a dinosaur - a mighty T-Rex! Well, that didn't quite work out but he loved the adventures he experienced as a kid. From rope swinging off hay lofts, hiking through the mountains of Utah, and playing any sport he could. He believes each child can have adventures in life through natural experiences that challenge and help them grow. As a pediatric specialist he loves helping children, become independent in self-care skills, be successful at school, develop effective social skills, and have a ton of fun doing it.

In his spare time, Derek loves going on adventures with his wife and four kids.

    Master of Occupational Therapy

  • Jeramy McMillan, OTD, OTR/L

Occupational Therapist / Chief Operating Officer

School was often a struggle for Jeramy. He was much more interested in exploring with friends, locking sisters in the chicken coop, and video games. Diagnosed with ADHD at an early age, Jeramy faced learning difficulties in school, but focused his energy and time on building friendships with those who struggled to make friends, helping others, and always getting into trouble. As he grew, Jeramy developed his own learning style and started succeeding at school. This led him on a journey to earn his Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy and Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy. Through his own personal experiences, Jeramy knows that children can overcome short-term difficulties and achieve long-term success. He uses a sensitive and fun-loving approach to therapy.

Jeramy loves playing guitar, cooking, Legos, and playing games with his wife and kids.

Three seconds left, game tied, inbound pass to Crump, dribbles left, fakes right, fade away three...it's good and the crowd goes wild! They are the champions!!! This is how it played out on the driveway. A career in basketball wasn't meant to be, but that didn't stop Travis from loving basketball and many other activities. He spent endless hours drawing, dirt bike riding, climbing trees, and camping. Later on, his passions transitioned into education, finance, business and personnel development.

Travis and his wife, Nancy, enjoy living in Idaho with their two daughters, Kennedy and London. Their family likes visiting national parks, river rafting, roller coaster riding, and any place that has a beach.

    Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

Michell has lived her whole life in Idaho and was born, right here, in Nampa. She grew up in Fairfield, Idaho where she and her family would spend summers in the mountains.

Michell wanted to be a nurse to help people, but then discovered Occupational Therapy. With this adventure, she has worked for 27+ years with adults, in home health, in hospitals, in rehab centers, and now with children. She tells people that she has the best job ever because she gets to play/work with children and work with their families everyday to help improve their quality of life.

Michell loves spending time walking the Oregon Coast beaches - or any beaches for that matter - finding treasures to take home. She also enjoys camping with her husband, daughter, son-in-law, three grandchildren, and her dogs, Gus and Sophia.

    Educational Background:

  • John Barber, COTA

    Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

As a young boy, often the first words John would speak each Saturday morning would be “Are we going camping or fishing today?”… always attempting to leave no room for another choice of activity. While he was in his latter elementary school years John moved to Idaho with his family. This move helped answer that vital question. He would do both! With a deep love for all things outdoors John quickly developed his talents for fishing, camping, photography, hunting, and gardening; especially cultivating heirloom tomato and pumpkin plants.

Early on in life John wanted to be a dental lab technician. After obtaining an associate degree in Dental Lab Technology, at ISU in Pocatello Idaho, he discovered a particular interest surrounding helping others succeed when mental or physical challenges were involved. This new interest took him back to school. In the spring of 2023 John completed coursework leading to an associate of applied science in Occupational Therapy Assistance. John is proud to be a certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) and to have graduated Magna Cum Laude, at the top of his class.

As a sufferer with ADD (attention deficit disorder), John has first-hand experience with how to navigate in this sometimes rather chaotic and confusing world. Today, his greatest joy is in finding ways to teach others how they can reach their goals.
